Samsung released the second generation of its smart watch dubbed as galaxy gear 2 in a conference held in Barcelona in the annual Mobile worldconference. Samsung surprisingly removed the galaxy part from its newsmartwatch. Samsung used its own OS tizen over the Google's Android OS which was seen in the last year's smart watch.
Samsung released two versions of its next gen smartwatch a flagship version and a cheaper version. The Gear 2 is said to include a 300 mAh battery that provides anywhere from 2-3 days of typical usage, as well as a heart rate sensor and pedometer for fitness tracking. Both smartphones have a 512 MB ram same as predecessor but have a dual core 1 GHz processor.
Samsung will be releasing the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo in various colors, with both devices receiving Charcoal Black and Wild Orange options. Additionally, the Gear 2 will be released in a Gold Brown option while the Gear 2 Neo will be offered a Mocha Grey colorway. The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo will be available internationally starting April, with pricing to be announced soon.
